Extending our support to the refugees from Ukraine

Early March, with the surge of refugees from the war in Ukraine arriving in the European Union, the Fondation Air Liquide decided to support projects across the European Union that deliver health, educational and other social services to refugees.
The Foundation relies largely on employees of Air Liquide to alert it to the needs in their countries. It has already selected several such projects.
The Foundation quickly adapted its giving platform so that shareholders and employees of Air Liquide could donate for this operation. As of March 24th, the site had collected €175,000. The Air Liquide Group has also contributed an exceptional grant to the Foundation.
For the Foundation, the involvement of Air Liquide employees in its projects and the financial contributions from shareholders and employees of the Group are all very important. The Foundation draws on its experience from previous humanitarian crises: the displaced population from the March 2011 tsunami in Japan, the Syrian refugee crisis of 2015 in Europe and, more recently, its “covid-relief” programme around the world.
