A region with high-potential

Les Mureaux has a very high rate of unemployment (20% on average and around 24% among young people) and social problems. There are various reasons for this, ranging from school dropout and a lack of training to a poor grasp of the French language. These barriers prevent certain people from succeeding in life. Nevertheless, the town has talent and a high economic potential. The challenge of the PTCE, therefore, is to bring these qualities to the fore.

Self-esteem, employability and development

Vivre Les Mureaux has set up a flexible program to support 200 to 250 people from Les Mureaux and the Grand Paris Seine & Oise urban community back into work:

•  "A positive future": Two days to restore the confidence of those who think they lack the skills and abilities to enter the world of work
•  "100 Opportunities 100 Jobs": Five days of training to render the beneficiaries the makers of their own success, with meetings with corporate executives, training simulations, personalized support, and internship/temporary work/employment offers. Objective: 65% go on to further studies or find employment
• "Networking between young people and business leaders": dinners or activities organized to provide job seekers and business leaders or corporate executives with an opportunity to meet each other
• "Accro'Défis": sports activity-based meetings between 16-25-year-olds and executives
• "The Entrepreneurship Booster": start-up and business development support. The Booster supports project acceleration with meetings and activities like team-based brainstorming for two days

The association does not forget people coming out of prison. Its "Justice platform" system identifies people who are motivated to reintegrate (in collaboration with the association Wake Up Café).

How the Air Liquide Foundation is participating

The grant provided by the Air Liquide Foundation enables the development of various initiatives of the Vivre Les Mureaux activation program.
