Promoting inclusion and well-being of children with disabilities

As part of its commitment to solidarity projects and support for people with disabilities, the Air Liquide Foundation has been supporting the Sauvegarde du Nord* association's innovative "Our adventure lands" project since spring 2024.
The aim of this project is to create a therapeutic and educational playground at the Tressin Institut Thérapeutique Éducatif et Pédagogique (DITEP)**. This medico-social structure welcomes 68 children aged 6 to 12 with psychological difficulties, offering them a space adapted to their specific needs.
The multiple and essential objectives of the project for children include:
- Develop autonomy and respect,
- Improve group cohesion and openness to the outside world,
- Building self-confidence and empowerment
At the end of 2024, seven Air Liquide France Industrie employee volunteers mobilized to bring this project to life, working closely with professionals and children from DITEP La Sauvegarde Du Nord in Tressin. They had the pleasure of welcoming them for a day of action, during which they landscaped the outdoors by making a large wooden teepee, building an insect hotel and bird nesting boxes, and installing vegetable planters.
