Supporting the professional integration of young people from Priority Neighborhoods on the Pantin Campus

The Foundation renews its partnership with Sport dans la Ville on its new Pantin Campus, which is dedicated to social and professional integration through sport, with multi-purpose sports facilities. The campus is also a place of education and integration: the "Job dans la Ville" program helps young people from the age of 14 to find their bearings and a job.

Removing barriers to professional integration through sport

Sport dans la Ville is a French association founded in 1998 that uses sport as a tool for integration to help young people in the Priority Neighborhoods. It helps young people gain jobs integration, training and entrepreneurship by developing the personal and professional skills acquired through sporting activities.
Through sports programs and events, the new campus will contribute to the social and professional integration of 5,000 young people enrolled in Sport dans la Ville in the Paris region.

During the Foundation's previous support (2020 - 2023), more than 700 young people have benefited from this project, with the active participation of several Air Liquide Group entities (site visits, mentoring) in the various Sport dans la Ville programs.

In mid-October 2024, François Jackow and the Air Liquide Foundation team took part in the inauguration of the new Campus, in the presence of numerous personalities, athletes and young people!

Supporting, guiding and facilitating young people's access to sustainable employment

This new partnership aims at helping young people aged 14 and over in priority inner-city neighborhoods in the Paris region find their way in the world of work. In order to provide them with the best possible support, the association has created 4 tailor-made support programmes as part of the Job dans la Ville program:

  1. Parcours Découverte: for all young people in secondary school. The aim is to discover the world of work, open up opportunities and refine career choices.
  2. Parcours Ambition: for all young people in higher education. The aim is to give them every opportunity to succeed in their studies and develop their employability.
  3. Parcours Jeunes diplômés: for young graduates looking for their first job. The aim is to help them find a stable job that matches their ambitions.
  4. Parcours Passe Décisive: for young people who have lost contact with the world of work, training or integration. The aim is to remobilize them through sport, and enable them to return to training or employment.

Sport and Employment: unlocking the potential of young people

Between 2024 and 2026, the project aims to enable young people to integrate essential values such as respect, team spirit and personal investment through sports sessions led by educators. Beyond sport, the campus will become a place of education and socio-professional integration through the Sport dans la Ville program. This will offer personalized support, mentoring, career preparation workshops, English language projects and recruitment forums to bring young people closer to the world of work

Involvement of Air Liquide employees

A commitment plan with several areas of involvement for Air Liquide employees is planned:

  • participation in recruitment forums,
  • participation in Sportives & Job events,
  • participation in mock interview and/or CV review sessions,
  • organizing visits to Air Liquide sites.

The project is sponsored by Air Liquide Santé France's Human Resources Manager.

What the Air Liquide Foundation does

The Air Liquide Foundation supports the “Job dans la Ville” program in Pantin:

  • Support and management of the four paths: Découverte, Ambition, Jeunes diplômés and Passe Décisive
  • Program activities (workshops, company visits, events etc.)
  • Project operation and support (communication, development, etc.)

Together with the Air Liquide teams, it coordinates the broad employee involvement plan.

I'm convinced that sport can teach key values and that exchanges between Air Liquide employees and these young people will be mutually beneficial.
