Farinez’vous - Paris

Training and providing long-term integration for vulnerable groups in the bakery trade.

The bakery sector suffers from a severe shortage of skilled labor, while many people remain excluded from traditional training programs. Since 2009, Farinez’vous has been France's leading bakery integration enterprise.

In 2021, it created an Inclusive Bakery School to train more people who are distant from the job market in the baking trades. With the support of the Air Liquide Foundation, the Farinez’vous - Inclusive Bakery School project strengthens the preparation of candidates upstream and their support after training.

From the bakery to sustainable employment

Created in 2009, Farinez’vous is France's first bakery social integration enterprise. After opening two bakeries in Paris, the association founded the Inclusive Bakery School in 2021. This school is aimed at refugees, long-term job seekers, school dropouts, and people in reintegration programs, offering them rapid, professional training in the bakery assistant profession.

The training alternates between practical classes in the bakery, internships in companies, and personal development workshops (communication, self-confidence, job preparation). Since its opening, more than 200 trainees have already been trained, 98% of whom have less than a high school diploma.

Thanks to the support of the Air Liquide Foundation, the school will strengthen two essential areas to increase the number of trainees accepted and improve their success rate:

  • upstream of training, by providing candidates with better information and reducing dropouts through better preparation.
  • post-training, by consolidating post-training follow-up and developing a network of partner employers.
  • 215 people have already completed the training since 2021

  • 70% of trainees find a job within 6 months of completing the training

I was struck by the kindness and dedication of the staff towards the beneficiaries, to whom they offer a new start full of hope.

What the Air Liquide Foundation does

The Air Liquide Foundation finances the educational, administrative, and operating costs of the Farinez’vous project in order to:

  • Raise awareness and provide information to candidates in advance (workshops, meetings, motivation tests).
  • Improve educational engineering and support methods.
  • Strengthen post-training follow-up to facilitate sustainable professional integration.

Thanks to this support, the school will be able to welcome up to 70 trainees per year and develop new partnerships with bakers in the Paris region.

Air Liquide employee involvement

Air Liquide employees can get involved in several ways:

  • Job coaching: mock interviews, proofreading and improving resumes/cover letters.
  • Academic support: French, math, or digital skills classes in the form of a few hours of tutoring to reinforce what trainees have learned.
  • Workplace safety: risk assessment, updating the Single Document, and creating simple visual aids (posters, pictograms, color codes).
  • Educational design: creation of an illustrated booklet on good safety practices, accessible to non-native English-speaking trainees.
