A summer of solidarity in Grenoble: The Foundation and Air Liquide employees support the Weavers France association

A summer of solidarity in Grenoble

Far from the summer slump, July was a busy month for the Air Liquide Foundation, filled with activities and encounters. In Grenoble, in the heart of the Alps, our commitment was once again on display alongside Weavers France, an association offering inclusive “Objectif Emploi” (Employement Target) training driven by social justice and supported by partner companies.

Supported by the Foundation since last year, Weavers' mission is to help refugees find employment and build strong ties between people living in exile and local citizens. As part of their “Objectif Emploi” program, two key events were organized in July with the invaluable support of the Air Liquide Advanced Technologies (ALAT) teams. These events were dedicated to the new class, this time focused on logistics professions.

The first event took place on July 17, when Blandine Comito (Environmental Manager) and Annett Koehler (who works with the association on behalf of the Foundation) led a Climate Collage session. It was a moment of sharing with rare intensity. Beyond preconceived notions, this workshop revealed how deeply environmental issues resonate with these individuals, offering them a poignant opportunity to talk about their countries of origin in a different light.

A few days later, on July 23, the doors of the Sassenage site opened for an immersive tour. After a visit to the Showroom, the physical showcase of our company, to get an overview of our activities, the beneficiaries were able to discover the logistics professions in concrete terms. Thanks to the warm welcome of Claire Chauveau (Logistics Manager) and her colleagues, they were able to observe firsthand the reality and dynamism of these professions within Air Liquide.

These two days perfectly illustrate the strength of our employees' commitment. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this project and shared their expertise with such passion. By building bridges between our professions and people on the path to integration, we are once again demonstrating the value and meaning of our social action.

It was a deeply enriching human experience for everyone involved.
