Martine Carré and Jean-Christophe Richard join the scientific committee of the Fondation Air Liquide

Paris, July 13, 2022

On June 29th 2022, the Board of Directors of the Fondation Air Liquide validated the following changes to the scientific committee of the Foundation:

  • Martine Carré is joining the scientific committee. She will contribute her environmental expertise, particularly in the field of air quality. She is an Air Liquide Fellow and is already familiar with the Foundation’s work, having already been involved in several of its projects
  • Pr. Jean-Christophe Richard will replace Dr.Catherine Billoët who wishes to retire from the scientific committee. Pr. Richard is employed by Air Liquide Medical Systems, alongside his work at the intensive care unit in Angers, France. He is an Air Liquide Fellow and is also familiar with the Foundation’s work

Dr. Billoët has been a member of the scientific committee since it was set up 2 years ago. She played a particularly active role during the Covid-19 crisis, adding significant value to the Foundation’s work in this area.

With the Fondation Air Liquide, the Group currently supports 25 basic research projects with fifteen French and European institutes. Air Liquide research staff are systematically involved in evaluating and following these projects, several of which have already led to publications. The scientific committee supervises the Foundation’s scientific programme. It selects projects on behalf of the Foundation’s board. With these recent changes, its members are Régis Réau, Juan-Fernando Ramirez, Martine Carré and Jean-Christophe Richard.

As we welcome Martine and Jean-Christophe to the scientific committee, we extend our thanks to Catherine for her great contribution to our work.

Jean-Marc de Royere
President, Fondation Air Liquide
