Français Langue d’Accueil organizes literacy and French classes for non-French-speaking refugees, mainly from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bhutan. Each year 500 people make the best of the courses provided by volunteers. Workshops for socio-professional integration are also offered to asylum-seekers who have obtained refugee status. The volunteers also help around 90 beneficiaries to complete administrative formalities and look for a job.
Workshops covering several skills are organized:
The Air Liquide Foundation helps Français Langue d’Accueil to improve its welcome center and work areas. The Foundation has financed furnitures for the classrooms and the computer lab (chairs and desks, computers, film projector, screen) and has equipped the premises’ entrance so as to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility to existing services. The charity now offers a positive and welcoming learning and working environment.
