Work integration in France

Help with work integration through organic market gardening in the North of France

The Air Liquide Foundation is helping the Biosol’62 association grow and develop its work integration activities through the production of organic vegetables.

Subsidized jobs to promote work integration and social inclusion

Biosol’62 is a work integration association founded in 2001 with the aim of reducing the high unemployment rate in the Boulonnais area (north of France).
Thanks to organic market gardening and the sale of the vegetables grown, Biosol’62 helps people get back into work and build a project at professional and personal level. The garden also allows beneficiaries to renew social ties by talking with the project's other stakeholders: gardeners, supervisors, members, local farmers, and institutional partners, etc…

Certified organic products

17 adults collecting the RSA1 work to grow organic vegetables, which are distributed to regular members in the form of weekly baskets. The association is audited by a certification body, guaranteeing the use of organic farming methods.

Diversifying activities to ensure its long-term future

Biosol’62 wants to guarantee its future by diversifying its product range to widen the association's customer base and increase sales to members. The association has created a professional workshop for processing vegetables that don't meet shape and color conformity standards (out-of-grade vegetables) to make soup, compote, and coulis. Around 10 employees on the re-integration program are trained by a chef. The support of the Air Liquide Foundation has made it possible to finance the acquisition of a pressure cooker needed to make these products.
