The MFRs are vocational training centers aspiring at offering a better future for young people from underprivileged rural areas, aged 15 to 24. The Campo Verde MFR offers courses in the following areas:
The programs are based on the apprenticeship educational model, which combines vocational, on-the-job training with academic training in the MFR.
In order to ensure that the students receive good quality training in the best conditions, the association is buying new equipment and wants to install a drip irrigation system for demonstration greenhouses. This system will enable the centers to provide training that is in line with the practices of modern farms. The project also aims at buying a second-hand minibus and repairing an existing minibus. The repairs will allow students to do practical work as part of the mechanics course. Public transportation being very underdeveloped in rural areas, the two minibuses will help the students travel between their place of work and the MFR.
The Foundation's contribution will allow them to install a modern irrigation system in greenhouses and to repair the existing minibus.
