The Foundation supports scientific partners in the EU who pursue basic respiratory research, i.e. furthering knowledge of the mechanisms underlying chronic or rare respiratory diseases so as to find cures.
It also supports some environmental research related to air quality, i.e. in the field of atmospheric chemistry.
The Foundation works primarily with private partners, both in the EU and in emerging countries, who develop innovative job-skilling schemes in the technical area. “Technical” here means skills that are and will be in demand in the industrial world.
Additionally, we enable employees of Air Liquide in the same geographies (EU & “emerging” countries) to support “micro-initiatives” in their communities, in a variety of fields: education, healthcare, and supporting people with a disability.
Every project we support must make a difference. We make sure the recipients of our aid make the most of it.
An ethical behaviour is central to what we do (re. to our Ethics charter in the “Governance” section).
