Newsletter July 2017: New faces at the Foundation

After managing the Air Liquide Foundation ever since it started 9 years ago, Xavier Drago is retiring this summer as David Meneses is taking over.
Xavier & his team were instrumental in the foundation’s rapid growth, backed by the project selection committee and counting on hundreds of the Group’s employees. Together they planted the Foundation's flag in 50 countries and supported almost 300 projects, which makes us all very proud.

I would like to extend my very sincere thanks to Xavier for his central role in this remarkable achievement.

This edition of the Foundation’s newsletter contains an interview with David Meneses, in addition to info about the Foundation’s latest projects, i.e. 3 scientific and 2 social projects, including the first one submitted by our Airgas teams.

Earlier this year, on March 30 th, the Foundation’s Board of Directors asked me to take the chair. Benoît Potier, chairman and CEO of Air Liquide, who also chaired the Foundation from the start, remains on  its board.

I am honoured to take on the new role. We have a great team in Paris and can rely on an outstanding network of colleagues around the world. The Foundation will evolve in 2018 and I will tell you more about this in a future newsletter. One thing remains for certain: our Foundation will always project the Group's belief in a better world for all.

Enjoy the read!

Jean-Marc de Royere, President of the Air Liquide Foundation
