Every local development micro-initiative supported by the Foundation is followed by an Air Liquide employee who volunteers to sponsor the project. It allows for a real monitoring of every initiatives and the involvement of Air Liquide employees on the Foundation’s missions.
The Air Liquide Foundation supports Ateliere Fara Frontiere and its project “BIO&CO: Cultivons la Solidarité” (Let's Cultivate Solidarity). It is a back to work program involving organic vegetable farming as well as collection and composting of commercial and industrial organic waste in the suburbs of Bucharest, Romania.
For the second year in a row, the Air Liquide Foundation helps “Life Project 4 Youth Alliance” develop its center for professional training for underprivileged young people in Sangam Vihar, close to two slums in a neighborhood known for containing the highest number of unauthorized lodgings in New Delhi. A team of 30 young adults is currently enrolled in an entrepreneurship program.

St. Anne’s Homes is located in one of the toughest townships of Cape Town, where it provides a refuge for women with children living in extreme poverty. The Air Liquide Foundation is helping to build an extension to the daycare center through building material donations.
