Call for students’ projects

Implement your associative project with the Air Liquide Foundation!

Throughout its call for students’ projects, the Air Liquide Foundation supports local development projects, lead by higher education students, in France or abroad. Each one of the selected projects will get, over one year, a financial support ranging from 8,000€ to 15,000€. One can apply until May 31st 2019.

Selection criteria

  • Field of action: socio-professional integration, micro-entrepreneurship, access to healthcare, access to clean energy, education and training, disabilities or environment (reduction of greenhouse gases emissions or improvement of the air quality);
  • Project initiator: a non-profit organization;
  • Location: close to an Air Liquide site in France, Germany, China, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, Sweden or the USA. The association must be located in the country where the project will be implemented.
  • Typology of the project: the project must be specific and well-structured with clear objectives whose concrete results can be evaluated and measured, with a detailed budget (expenditures/resources), with a schedule and a with an identified location;
  • Sustainability: The Air Liquide grant must allow the organization to implement durably a project or to sustain its actions;
  • Scope of the project: the project must benefit to a significant amount of people;
  • Budget of the project: the investment for equipments must represent the largest part of the budget. The Foundation can examine the funding of running costs if they are key to the implementation of the project. The expenditures supported by the Air Liquide Foundation must be conducted after the support of the Foundation has been confirmed.

Are not eligible

  • One-off or short-term initiatives: humanitarian trips, events, sponsoring, treks and rallies, gala dinners;
  • Personal projects: grants, financing studies, survey trips, and school trips;
  • Sporting or cultural projects, activities or competitions;
  • Projects that are not clearly secular or apolitical in nature;
  • For-profit projects.

The Air Liquide Foundation does not intend to support projects that do not match its social goal and that do not fit the selection criteria mentioned above.

Call for students’ projects


The submitted projects will follow the Foundation’s selection process.

To be noted: each one of the projects that will have been pre-selected will be assessed and followed-up on by an Air Liquide employee, chosen by the Air Liquide Foundation, among the people working in the closest subsidiary entity.

  • May 31st 2019: deadline for the submission of applications
  • June 10th 2019: pre-selection of the projects by the Air Liquide Foundation Team
  • August 31st 2019: deadline for employees sponsoring a project to visit and assess it
  • September 24th 2019: selection of two to four projects by the Projects Selection Committee
  • September 30th 2019: feedback with the final decision and the approval of the grant’s amount
