Dynamo Camp is a vacation resort for children with severe chronic diseases or those in remission as well as their families. All meals and accommodation are provided free of charge for everyone staying at the resort. A variety of activities—from arts and crafts to outdoor activities—are available for participants to enjoy.
Spending time at Dynamo Camp helps children make friends with other young people who have gone through the same difficult experiences. This contributes to the integration of children with chronic diseases by bringing joy to their lives and helping them gain self-confidence as they participate in everyday activities that they were unable to enjoy during their hospital stay. Dynamo Camp Onlus also helps bring families together by providing them the opportunity to go on vacation together.
The number of children attending Dynamo Camp continues to increase every year. New specially adapted areas were needed, in particular facilities for young people with physical disabilities. The grant from the Foundation will be used to build new restroom facilities for individuals in wheelchairs as well as a wheelchair-accessible activity center and access route.
