Paramedical practices workshop in France

Creation of a paramedical practices workshop in Jouy-en-Josas

In 2013, the Air Liquide Foundation is taking part in the expansion of the École Jeanne Blum, which works on training job-seekers and employees in the professional conversion process in Jouy-en-Josas, in the Yvelines in the Paris region.

A professional center that offers paramedical training

The purpose of the École Jeanne Blum association, created in 1974, is to manage and develop a professional center that offers paramedical training to those who have left school without any professional qualifications, to job-seekers and employees in the career conversion process.

To restore the self-confidence of these trainees in difficulty who wish to successfully carry out a professional project, the school uses a pedagogical method based on the valorization of the individual, while permitting them at the end of their training to access paramedical professions: nurse’s aides, childcare assistants, family health aides, paramedics…

A growing demand

The association attempts to meet a growing demand, both from trainees and the professional world, which requires the creation of new classrooms for teaching that must be equipped with the appropriate pedagogical materials.

That is why the École Jeanne Blum has developed a project to extend the association’s activities. This project became a reality with the assistance of the mayor’s office of Jouy-en-Josas, which made new premises available to the association, and the support of the Air Liquide Foundation, which financed the purchase of new equipment.
