The Long Hai social center is a place for street children and victims of Agent Orange (a powerful defoliant composed of dioxins) to live and learn. Initiated by the Association Pour les Enfants des Rizières, the center’s priorities include providing a safe place for these children, checking and monitoring their health, and delivering special care and supporting operations. Another goal is to educate or provide professional training to these children, who are excluded from the public education system. A boarding school, with a capacity of 60 children and 30 infants, is planned for the center.
