Building the capacities of the Tivaouane firehouse

The Air Liquide Foundation is supporting the Tivaouane firehouse by financing the purchase of a fire engine.

Under the impetus of the Groupement National des Sapeurs-pompiers of Senegal and the departmental fire and emergency service of Colomiers (southwestern France), the association “Les Pompiers ont du Cœur” with the support of the Firemen without Borders decided to build the capacities of the Tivaouane firehouse by providing emergency vehicles and training firemen.

The Air Liquide Foundation therefore decided to finance the purchase of a fire vehicle and to help train firemen in the use of emergency equipment. The objective of the association Les Pompiers ont du Cœur is to guarantee, over the longer term, the autonomy of the Tivaouane firemen in risk prevention and management.
