The Air Liquide Foundation supports the project of building reception and training premises for autistic children created by the CeRESA association (Regional Center for Education and Services for Autism).
The CeRESA association helps autistic children through providing intensive and early educational support and also provides aid to families. CeRESA currently welcomes about 50 children in two distinct structures: SESSAD (Special Education and Home Care Service) and TRAMPOLINE, an accompaniment service platform for autistic children.
Their admission capacities are far from being sufficient to meet the needs of families in search of adapted structures.
The Center’s project, supported by the Air Liquide Foundation, is to construct a permanent building to replace the existing prefabricated structures to provide CeRESA with larger, better adapted and quieter premises. The future building will make it possible to welcome the children of SESSAD and TRAMPOLINE under better conditions and to take in charge 20 additional children.
A word from the sponsor:
Michel Combe, Mobility Coordinator Air Liquide, France, Région Grand Ouest
“The project team is totally engaged in its mission in the CeRESA association. The children spend two to nine hours a week in the premises for specific help by specialized personnel. The prefabricated buildings are functional but temporary and more adapted to an industrial environment than an educational one. I therefore warmly support the association’s project of building more adapted premises.”
