Becoming the sponsor of a Micro-Initiative project  [ Return towards  Functioning  ]

An act of commitment for Air Liquide employees

Each Micro-Initiative project is followed by a sponsor, an Air Liquide Group employee acting in a voluntary capacity. If employees wish to, they may sponsor a project that is geographically close and in which they are interested.

What are the sponsor-employee’s responsibilities?

  • Making contact: the sponsor meets the project initiator where the project will be executed and verifies that the initiative clearly fulfills the Foundation’s selection criteria. He or she also takes part in evaluating the project’s technical feasibility and financial viability.
  • Following up: the sponsor verifies with the project initiator that the subsidy granted by the Foundation has arrived and that it is properly used. He or she draws up, with the project initiator, a progress report on the project that is transmitted to the Foundation team.
  • Evaluating: when the project is completed, the sponsor writes an evaluation report on the project.

What is the sponsor-employee’s profile?

The sponsor must be an employee of the Air Liquide Groupe who volunteers to carry out the sponsor's role, and who has received the support of his or her direct supervisor. He or she speaks French or English to facilitate communication with the Foundation when the application is being examined and during the project's execution. The sponsoring employee is preferably based on an Air Liquide site that is geographically close to where the project will be undertaken.
